Wanda’s Literary Contributions

Wanda Muir Oliver is an accomplished writer, poet, actress and a certified sought after international speaker. Wanda, has authored "Realities of Life and Poetry," a captivating work graced with a foreword by the esteemed Dorothy Height. Her literary contributions extend to three other distinguished publications, among which "A Surrender To The Moon" stands out prominently. In this anthology, Wanda's evocative poem, "The Change," occupies a place of distinction as the inaugural feature. Furthermore, Wanda's talents shine as she co-authors "The Queens Legacy," adding her unique perspective to this compendium of wisdom and inspiration about her mentor Dr. Dorothy Height. Currently, she is in the process of crafting yet another collection of poetic masterpieces, slated for release in 2025, promising to be a must-read for poetry enthusiasts. Wanda’s Theatrical Contributions

Wanda made her theatrical debut as a cast member for two running’s of the play “The Teachers Lounge” a popular play in Baltimore, she also worked behind the scenes as a stage manager and cast member as “The Superintendent of Schools.” Wanda appeared in “Don’t Be Fooled” a cast member as a prostitute. She also appeared in the re-enactment of the first NCNW meeting, portraying Mary Church Terrell, under the tutelage of Dorothy Height. Wanda was an extra in the film documentary “Multitude of Mercies” featuring Malcom Jamal Warner, shown on BET, International Aids Day.

Wanda’s Affiliations

I have been a lead Head Start Teacher, a former Special Education pre-school teacher, and a Mental health case manager with the YWCA. I am also a Certified Public Speaker. I am proud Diamond Life member of Delta Sigma Theta, Columbia Alumnae, Maryland Chapter, Life Member of NCNW, NAACP.
